December is about.....BELIEVING

The picture to the left with Wi-Fi options is real, not a hoax or mock up.  I was shopping earlier this month and my phone was automatically searching for a signal and this screen popped up.  Amazing, I say!  Not sure which store or person nearby named these, however, it doesn't matter.  What matters is the fact that it is a simple reminder, one of hopefully many this season of the real reason for our panicked preparation for December 25.

Whether you are a believer in Jesus Christ or not, there is another meaning that gets thrown into the complexity of the festivities....that of the "spirit of Christmas".  So when the children don't believe in Santa Claus anymore, even though St. Nicholas actually existed, the parents turn to a more adult explanation of what is narrowed down to basically as magic.

As I pondered in a moment of silence and reflection after seeing this screen, I smiled.  Knowing that many others will experience the same thing as I did and perhaps it will slow them down, or even calm them down before they carry on with their hectic day of errand running and buying, buying, buying!  Or, could the magic actually be working it's way into my life, even though I am a true believer in Our Lord, there seems to always be an underlying presence of a warm fuzzy feeling. The feeling the twinkling lights bring, a smile on a child's face after they receive a present, a toast of friendship, a celebration of love or the beauty of a song. Just maybe, that screen was for my eyes only.....I ponder.

To continue with this trend, I noticed just recently a license plate in front of me that read BELEEVE (spelled just like that).  It was another reminder to me to keep the focus on Him and to be ready for anything.  I know our paths are not completely our own.  Divine intervention is part of that "magic" that, depending on your "belief", appears in many different forms.  Either way, the end result is that of an ethereal presence.  An acceptance of our fate and destiny of a finite physical existence and an eternal spiritual existence.

Often my belief in man is shattered, but my foundation of a spiritual belief sustains me for a lifetime.  Without it, I can not understand how anyone could walk through this arduous life, battle the evolving global chaos, the environmental dysfunction, and lack of humility, respect and forgiveness.  I send you, my friend, the love, light, and peace that is meant for every single one of us!
